First Flight

Yay! XD It's finally done! This has been a great project to work on. I've already started another one featuring a few more characters that are from the same story idea, so I'm guessing you'll see a lot more of these guys from now on. ^^ For those that haven't seen them before, starting from the left is Shita, Rutelle, Kota, and Makoto. They are some OC's from a Wind Waker based story idea I've been toying with. I've only come up with the style I'd like to draw them in just recently and I must say I am quite pleased with it.

While what they look like is pretty much laid out here, I might toy around with the colors a bit more. Some of them didn't turn out how I wanted, so I'll be doing more experiments with them. In this one I used sepia copic line markers for the outlining and I think it works for what I'm trying to do. I still miss my black ones, but I'll just have to use them elsewhere.

I'll be sure to post more in depth character profiles once I've got the color scheme for each character down. Hopefully I can get started on the first page of the comic itself too. We'll see how this Thanksgiving Break goes. Good news is that I don't have any homework to worry about, just finals.
